After the championship year Williams stay in Miami for a disappointing season and ultimately signed a free agent deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, but never played a single game and retired for personal reasons.

Just recently, the Los Angeles Clippers cut loose of Williams contract and made him a free agent once again where he decided to give the NBA another shot with the Orlando Magic. As the Eastern Conference champs of last year, the Magic look to have a very promising team next season with the addition of Vince Carter and now Jason Williams as Jameer Nelson’s back up.

The Magic may not be favored to win the East, but with the addition of Williams they have made their bench much deeper at the guard position and a much better all around team.
